Jing Li has over 20 years of experience in clinical research within the medical device industry. Passionate about environmental sustainability, she co-founded and serves as Co-President of ZIRAN, a nonprofit dedicated to environmental education and community engagement. Jing has mastered recycling practices and accumulated a wealth of knowledge across various sustainability topics.
Prior to founding ZIRAN, in 2017, she started a WeChat group that has since grown to over 420 members, promoting environmental awareness and knowledge sharing among the Chinese community. She also leads environmental education programs for a local Chinese summer camp, MinnSea Academy. Activities included working with her two daughters to deliver lectures, inviting a county recycling expert to the summer camp for a lecture, organizing field trips to recycling facilities, hosting a series of online environmental lectures during the pandemic, and facilitating the production of the environmental short film, “Unearthed”. Additionally, Jing has delivered environmental educational talks to elementary students, youth, community members, professional colleagues, and seniors, and has authored numerous articles.
Beyond her work, Jing enjoys Chinese dance and gardening, which allows her to weave her love of nature and beauty together.
